TAKING LECTURE NOTES

What is the reason that required us to take note in every class?

💟We can give our fully focus during class
💀We may use that note to help us taking our exam or tests
💥Help us improve our memory
🌟Lecturers can know how much knowledge the student can have throughout the class
🌈Make it easier for us to organize the data and information






BUT,

It is worthless to copy a note but just keep them stay in the book without reviewing it.
So, we should know what is the advantages when we review our notes.

1. We lose 80% of what we hear in class if we not review it
2. We don't have enough time to review notes from class if not doing it now
3. We can identify the questions and problems to ask the lecturer in next class
4. Think "if i don't study it now, can i answer the quiz or test later?"

MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO REVIEW NOTES EVERY DAY!

WHAT SHOULD WE DO BEFORE THE CLASS?

🍣🌵Be prepared:

                            🌰Review your notes from                                     the class before

                       🍭Make sure you have                                            pens and papers

                🍤Don't forget to write the                                    date on top of the paper-                                     make it easier to organize                                 it later

        🍸Leave some spaces between lines                    to add information later

🍎🍄Seating:

             🍨Take the seat near to the front and center- better vision👀 and hearing👂

                    🍲Avoid distraction from doorways and windows glaring

                     How do we take notes?

💫Date and label notes

💢Use abbreviations and symbols

      examples:

💞Use an outline to show:

-main ideas

-supports

-examples

💦Use your own languages to easily understand

💄While taking notes:

          =Be an aggressive,not a passive, listener

                    

📄Ask and jot down the questions

REMEMBER SQ4R

• Survey- Look over the chapter
• Question- Turn title, heading and subheading into question
• Read- Answer question as you read
• Write- Take notes
• Review- Skim over reading materials
• Recite- Read a section at a time then say it out loud to see how much you can remember

 WAYS TO TAKE AS YOU OBSERVE YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

🎁Be alert of repetition because your instructor might deliver important hint there

👑Focus on the board or overhead projector

👜Notice the instructor's interest level- the things that they are excited about is likely to be in exam

🎀Let go of judgement about lecture style as it might effect your attitude towards instructor

#Most important
 thing is:

 The instructor is also a human as they might have a changing of emotion or mood. They can be happy as they talked with us, but there will be some day that they are having a gloomy day.

 Maybe they being like that because of student's behavior as they often find themselves unable to deal with student's need as the professional instructor won't mess the personal problem with work. So, we have to mend in with their mood. Example as:

📛Pay attention whether when your instructor talk or when writing the notes

📐Ask a question even though it sounds 'stupid', So that you got to communicate with the instructor
